Teamfight Tactics Set 12 PBE Patch Notes: Portal and Augments Adjustments (July 23)

The latest update for Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Set 12 on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) server introduces significant changes to portals, augments, and several other aspects of the game. Let’s explore these updates in detail.

Systems Changes

Portals:

  • Overachievers: 🔻
    • Zaps that cost more than 2g can no longer show up in Stage 2.

This change aims to balance the availability of high-cost zaps early in the game, ensuring a more level playing field in the initial stages.

Champions Adjustments

  • Syndra: 🔻
    • Ability bonus rift damage: Reduced from 40% to 35%.
  • Taric:
    • Ability damage: Adjusted from 100/150/1000% MR to 100/150/1000% MR + 50/75/600.
  • Morgana, Norra, and Xerath: Now have additional effects at 3-star. ✅

These changes are intended to fine-tune the damage output and abilities of these champions, ensuring they remain balanced and competitive.

Traits Adjustments

  • Incantor:
    • Teamwide AP: Increased from 10 to 10/20.
  • Sugarcraft: 🔻
    • Only components from champions count as Sugar for baking (Wandering Trainer Dummy will no longer contribute Sugar).

These trait adjustments enhance the strategic elements of using Incantor and Sugarcraft traits, making them more impactful in team compositions.

Items Adjustments

  • Mogul’s Mail: 🔻
    • Max Stacks: Increased from 30 to 35.
    • HP Per Stack: Reduced from 8 to 7.
    • Gold on Proc: Reduced from 2 to 1.
  • Blacksmith’s Gloves:
    • Now pulls from a slightly smarter pool of item pairs.

These item adjustments aim to balance the benefits provided by Mogul’s Mail and improve the utility of Blacksmith’s Gloves.

Augments Adjustments

  • Arcana Crest:
    • Gain an Ahri >>> Gain an Ahri and Hecarim.
  • Arcana Crown:
    • Gain an Ahri >>> Gain an Ahri and Hecarim.
  • Blossoming Lotus I:
    • Crit Chance Per Interval: Increased from 4% to 5%.
  • Blossoming Lotus II:
    • Crit Chance Per Interval: Increased from 8% to 10%.
  • Clockwork Accelerator:
    • Attack Speed Per Tick: Increased from 5% to 6%.
  • Dual Purpose: 🔻
    • Gold on First XP Purchase: Reduced from 3 to 2.
  • Frosty Frontline: 🔻
    • Bonus Dummy Health Per Frost Tier: Reduced from 300 to 200.
    • Revive Time: Increased from 6s to 7s.
  • Hedge Fund (2-1 version):
    • Returned to pool.
  • High Voltage: 🔻
    • Damage Increase: Reduced from 30% to 25%.
  • I’m The Carry Now: 🔻
    • Stage Stat Multiplier (3/5/7): Adjusted from 1/2/3x to 1/1.75x/2.5x.
    • AD and AP Per Stage (3/5/7): Adjusted from 20/40/60% to 20/35/50%.
    • HP Per Stage (3/5/7): Adjusted from 475/950/1425 to 475/831/1187.
  • Invested (2-1 version): 🔻
    • Removed from the pool.
  • Portal Delivery Service: 🔻
    • Removed from the pool.
  • School Mascot: 🔻
    • Eldritch 3 Item: Bloodthirster >>> Titan’s Resolve.
  • Sweet Tooth (Nunu): ⚙️
    • Champion Augment Heal no longer scales with Ability Power.
    • Heal Amount: Adjusted from 250/300/350% AP to 250/300/350 + 8% max Health.
  • Thorn-Plated Armor: 🔻
    • Damage Amp Per Stage (2-5): Adjusted from 10/40/70/100% to 5/30/60/100%.
  • An Upgraded Journey:
    • Loot rewards improved by about 20%.
    • Fixed a bug where 1 Masterwork Upgrade was not being dropped.
  • Round Exclusions: ⚙️
    • Assassin’s Toolbox: Banned on 4-2.
    • Caramelized Comforts: Banned on 4-2.
    • Row Rejuvenation I/II: Banned on 2-1.
    • Stand United: Banned on 2-1.

These additional augment adjustments and exclusions ensure fair play and balance, enhancing the overall game experience.

Charms Adjustments ⚙️

Several charms have had their stage/frequency appearance chances adjusted.

  • Assassin:
    • The unit who will jump will now look stealthy during Planning Phase.
  • Shivinate:
    • Now transforms Radiant Items into Radiant Statikk Shivs.
    • No longer shows up Stage 4+.
  • Minor Wish, Major Wish:
    • Now shows results of the wish in the scoreboard tooltip. (For example, Wished for 2 gold)
  • The Tower:
    • Now strikes two nearest enemies within 3 hexes, instead of adjacent enemies.

These charm adjustments provide more clarity and balance in their application, making strategic planning more effective.

Bug Fixes ⚙️

  • Shivinate and Artifactinate no longer transform consumables.
  • Item transformation augments like What The Forge and Anger Issues now interact correctly with Shivinate and Artifactinate.
  • Mogul’s Mail properly stops generating gold when combat ends.
  • The word Stun in Neeko’s tooltip is properly highlighted.
  • Transfiguration augment properly limits components to 4.
  • Aggressive Preservation no longer continues to give damage amp to units after you remove a preserver emblem from them.
  • Added safeguards to Shyvana against knocking up tactician and bench units.
  • Blaster buff after casting not affected by tenacity anymore.
  • Dragon burn and wound are now not affected by tenacity.
  • Multiple allied Hwei cannot detonate each other’s lightning bolts early.
  • Warwick correctly now deals double damage to targets below 25% health instead of triple.
  • The Assassin Charm can no longer pick the Eldritch summon to jump (It couldn’t jump because it doesn’t summon until after the fight begins).
  • Pyro 3 and 4 execute threshold is now correctly 12% instead of 15%.
  • Pilfer (Augment) and Magic Mirror (Charm) can no longer copy non-champions.

These bug fixes address various issues that were impacting gameplay, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all players.
